Zen's Doghouse, one of the areas newest restaurants, has opened on Route 8, across from the Berkshire Mall entrance in Lanesboro.  Located in the old Hut's Pub & Grill, Zen's has undergone a complete makeover from inside out, including some exciting new changes.  In addition to it's great  new "affordable" menu and family atmosphere, owner's Chris and Shane have added a Dairy Bar, serving your favorite soft serve ice cream and an outdoor Pavilion like nothing I have ever seen in the Berkshires ...until now. The Pavilion called "The Pound" has it all and if you are looking for an amazing place to relax with family or friends, throw a Stag, Shower, Jack-N-Jill or Office Party ...The Pound is the place.  With its full outdoor bar, horseshoe pits, television to catch the game on, seating, plenty of room to roam and friendly staff, I felt as if I were away on vacation.  During my visit, there were several families with children, a Stag in progress, a half a dozen people playing horseshoes and room for a bus load more.  No overcrowding here, just plenty of room to have fun and mingle.  The service was great and the two gals working in "The Pound" had it all under control.  If you haven't been to Zen's Doghouse yet ...go, you are missing out on a great time.  Zen's open daily, eat in or take home!
